Who is responsible
The controller responsible for Lofvi is Made by Spin, based in the Netherlands (Chamber of Commerce/KvK 01129853). For questions about privacy and requests about your data, email [email protected].
What data we process
You can use Lofvi without an account and without leaving any personal details. Our servers log technical data for each request (IP address, time, page requested and browser type) to keep the site secure and available. We keep these logs for at most 14 days and then delete them.
If Lofvi later offers accounts, favourites or price alerts, we will update this statement before those features become available.
Anonymous visitor statistics
We count which products, categories, brands, designers, search terms and pages on Lofvi are viewed, and how often people click through to a shop. This shows us what is popular and what is on the rise, for example for the ‘Popular’ sort order and the ‘Trending now’ row. We do this on the basis of our legitimate interest in improving the site (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
This works without cookies and without storing anything on your device. A small script on the page only reports the page address and what you click (a shop link, another version or a photo). On the first page of a visit we also note what kind of source you came from, for example via a search engine, via a social network (such as Facebook), via an AI assistant (such as ChatGPT), via a newsletter or directly. For this the script only looks at the name of the website you came from and at campaign labels in the link; we never keep the address of that page, only the kind of source. Search terms are kept without capitals and punctuation; a search containing an email address is not kept, and long numbers (such as a phone number) are made unreadable.
So that the same visitor is not counted twice on one day, the server makes a code from your shortened IP address (the last part is dropped) and your browser type, using a secret key that exists only in the server’s memory and is replaced every day. We do not store your IP address or browser type for this. When the day is over we also erase the code, so the data can no longer be linked to a person or device.
Individual reports are kept for at most 7 days. After that only totals per day, per page, per language and per kind of source remain (such as ‘42 visitors, 5 clicks to a shop’); these contain no personal data. We share this data with no one.
If ‘Do Not Track’ or ‘Global Privacy Control’ is switched on in your browser, or JavaScript is off, you are not counted.
Who we share data with
The site is hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany) in the European Union. We don’t sell personal data and don’t share it with brands or shops.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct and delete your data, and the right to object. To do so, email [email protected].
If you’re not satisfied with how we handle your data, you can complain to the supervisory authority in your country (in the Netherlands, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
